Boxing Day meet, 11.30am Wednesday 26th December
Cholesbury Common, HP5 2UH

If you are bringing a horse, please note there is no parking at all for lorries or trailers on Cholesbury Common or in the immediate areas, and no traffic must go through Cholesbury village. Please do not attempt to park on the common, or obstruct gateways or driveways nearby. Thank you!

Lorry and trailer parking for the meet has been arranged at nearby locations. Please contact Lucy Holmes (, 07721 333358) well in advance for details and allocation as parking is limited at each location. Click here for a map of the area, and see below for directions.

If you are coming by car (ie without a horse), you may park where you can find a space nearby, but please be warned that this is an extremely popular meet and the immediate area around the common gets very busy indeed. If you are prepared to walk a little way, please try to park further away from the meet! For SatNav directions to the meet, use the postcode HP5 2UH.

If you fancy a Boxing Day lunch after seeing the hounds off, there are several pubs nearby:
The Full Moon, on Cholesbury Common
The Rose & Crown, Hawridge, about 1 mile towards Chesham
The White Lion, Buckland Common, about 1 mile towards St Leonards, 01494 758387
The Black Horse, on Chesham Vale, about 2 miles towards Chesham
You may want to check these pubs are open, and probably book ahead as these pubs are likely to be busy.

Directions for those bringing horses

Coming from the A41

Take the exit marked Wigginton (from the west) or Tring (from the east). Follow signs up the steep hill to Wigginton and turn right at the crossroads with the sleeping policeman in the village. Follow signs for parking.

Coming from the Wendover area

Turn off the B4009 between Halton and Aston Clinton (signposted to Cholesbury) and go up Aston Hill. Follow the road (4 miles) until you see St Leonards Church on the right. Follow signs for parking.

Coming from the Chesham area

Head north through Chesham on the A416 and take the first exit at the roundabout (off the A416) with the Shell garage on it. When the road forks at Beeby Bricks/MT Loos take the RIGHT fork and follow signs for parking after about 2 miles. Do not take the left fork at Beeby Bricks as you will not be able to drive past the Common to the other parking areas.
